Terms of service

How buying from awlry works: orders, custom cuts, prices, shipping, and what happens if something goes wrong.

The short version: you order, we cut, we ship. Custom work is made to your drawing and cannot be undone once you approve the proof. Everything below is the detail, written to be read rather than to be impressive.

Who you are buying from

awlry is a small workshop selling custom-cut dies, templates and craft tools. For anything on this page, email zoie9402@gmail.com.

Orders

Placing an order is an offer to buy. It becomes a contract when we accept it: for a stock item, when we take payment; for custom work, when you approve the proof. Until then we can decline an order, and we refund anything you have paid.

We can also cancel and refund if the material you chose turns out not to be cuttable at the size you asked for, or if a price on this site was obviously wrong. We will tell you which, and why.

Custom-cut orders

Custom parts are cut to your drawing. Before anything is cut you get a free digital proof showing the finished size, every hole and the layout. Approving that proof is the point of no return. Production starts, and the part can no longer be changed or refunded, because it fits your drawing and nobody else’s.

Keep revising the proof until it is right — revisions are free and there is no limit. Once you approve it we cut exactly what you approved. If the finished part does not match the proof, that is our error and the refund and returns policy covers it.

Your responsibility for the drawing. You confirm that you have the right to use the file you upload and that it is not someone else’s protected design. We cut what you send and we do not audit files for copyright — if you are reproducing a commercial product, make sure you are allowed to.

We may decline a file we cannot lawfully cut, or one we believe is a counterfeit of someone else’s product. If we decline, you get a full refund.

Prices, currency and import charges

All prices are in US dollars. They do not include import duty, VAT or customs handling charged by your country. Those are payable by you on arrival and we cannot calculate them in advance. If you refuse a shipment because of them, we cannot refund the shipping.

We can change prices and material options at any time, but never on an order you have already placed.

Payment

Payment is taken through PayPal. We never see or store your card number: PayPal handles the transaction and tells us only whether it succeeded, plus a reference. PayPal’s own terms apply to the payment itself.

Shipping and delivery

Production is 3–5 working days (2–3 with rush). Shipping is free worldwide over $60; below that it is a flat $9 tracked rate.

Transit estimates come from the carrier, not from us, and customs can hold a parcel. A delay in transit is not a ground for refunding a made-to-order part — but tell us and we will chase the carrier for you.

Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. If a parcel arrives damaged, or does not arrive at all, contact us within 48 hours of the delivery date (or the date it should have arrived) and we will sort it out. That is our job, not yours.

Returns and refunds

Stock items can be returned within 48 hours of delivery, unused and still resaleable. Custom cuts cannot be refunded once production has started, with one exception: if the part is faulty or does not match your approved proof, we make it right. The refund and returns policy has the full detail, including how to start a return.

Your files, our work

You keep every right you have in the drawings you send us. You give us permission to store, open and cut them in order to make your order, and to keep them on your account so you can reorder. We do not sell them, publish them, or show them to another customer.

We sometimes photograph our own finished work for this site. If a piece is distinctive enough that a photograph would reveal your design, we ask you first.

Your account

You do not need an account to buy from us. If you open one, you are responsible for what is ordered while signed in as you, so keep the password to yourself. We may close an account we believe is being used to abuse the site or to break these terms. You can ask us to close yours at any time — what we store and for how long is set out in the privacy policy.

The mailing list

Signing up to the mailing list is optional and separate from buying anything. It creates no account, grants no access to this site, and can be left with one click in any email we send — no reason required. What we store and why is set out in the privacy policy.

Our liability

If we cut something wrong, our responsibility is limited to remaking the part or refunding what you paid for it — whichever you would rather have. We are not liable for lost profit or for what you intended to make with the part.

Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the law of the country we trade from. That does not reduce a right you have under the consumer law of the country you live in: where the two differ, the rule more favourable to you as a consumer applies.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it, so a later change never rewrites a deal you have already made.

Questions

Nothing on this page is meant to be a trap. If something is unclear, or you want to know whether it applies to your order, email zoie9402@gmail.com before you order — we answer within one working day.
