Neoprene cup sleeve, loop or shoulder strap

Description

A stretchy neoprene sleeve that slides over a cup or a bottle. It takes the heat out of a hot drink and the condensation off a cold one, and it gives you something to hold that is not the cup itself. Six of them have a webbing loop at the rim; four have a shoulder strap instead.

Two shapes

With the carry loop — a flat woven loop sewn into the top rim, sized for a finger or a bag hook. Medium and large, in sweet pink, light blue and, for medium only, black; large also comes in rose red.

With a shoulder strap — the same sleeve with a long adjustable webbing strap and a ladder-lock buckle, so the drink hangs on your shoulder instead of in your hand. Black only, in four capacities.

• Medium — cups of about 350–470 ml
• Large — cups of about 480–600 ml
• Crossbody — 600, 700, 1000 or 1500 ml, by capacity

About those dimensions

The figures above are hand-measured, and hand measurement carries a caveat we are passing on rather than tidying up: “measured by hand, so there may be slight deviations.” Worth knowing: the photograph of the medium says 6 × 15 cm — half a centimetre taller than the table. We have quoted the table and left it at that. When stock is in our hands we will measure one and correct this page.

The table also lists a small at 5.5 × 12.5 cm. There is no small here — there is the medium and there is the large, and nothing else. And we have no confirmed dimensions for the crossbody versions, so we have not printed any.

What we are not claiming

Sleeves like this are often listed as waterproof. Neoprene is water-resistant, not waterproof, so we are not using that word. What it does do is keep the condensation on a cold cup away from your hand, and the surface wipes clean.
